The Magnolia 5 CPM Portable Counter Pressure Canning Line is designed for craft breweries and beverage producers looking for commercial-quality canning performance in a compact, flexible system. Whether you’re packaging beer, cider, kombucha, sparkling beverages, or other carbonated drinks, the Magnolia delivers consistent filling performance while helping preserve product quality through a true counter-pressure filling process.

Unlike atmospheric filling systems, the Magnolia uses CO₂ pre-purge, counter-pressure equalization, and Foam-on-Beer (FOB) technology to minimize oxygen pickup during filling. Throughout the filling cycle, the can remains fully sealed against the filling head, preventing ambient air from entering the can while maintaining stable filling conditions. Under normal operating conditions, the system is capable of achieving dissolved oxygen (DO) levels typically below 30 ppb, helping breweries protect flavor stability and extend product shelf life.

Designed for both ease of operation and production flexibility, the Magnolia allows operators to adjust filling parameters directly through the intuitive HMI interface. Filling pressure, timing, and other process settings can be optimized for different beverage types and carbonation levels, allowing breweries to package a wide range of products with confidence. Multiple beer inlet connection options—including standard hose barb, 1.5” Tri-Clamp, and custom adapters—make integration with existing fermentation tanks, bright tanks, or kegs simple and convenient.

Every filling cycle follows a carefully engineered sequence that includes can rinsing, CO₂ blow-off, CO₂ pre-purge, counter-pressure equalization, flow meter-controlled filling, controlled pressure release, Foam-on-Beer oxygen displacement, automatic lid placement, seaming, and final can rinsing. This complete process is designed to deliver reliable fill consistency while helping reduce product loss and improve packaging quality.

The Magnolia is more than a portable canning machine—it’s a complete counter-pressure packaging solution built to help growing beverage producers achieve professional packaging results without the footprint or investment of a larger automated production line.

Q1: Who is the Magnolia 5CPM canning line best suited for?

A: Magnolia is best suited for small breweries, taprooms, beverage startups, pilot production rooms, kombucha producers, cider makers, and R&D teams that need compact in-house canning with professional counter-pressure filling.

Q2: How fast can the Magnolia 5CPM run?

A: The Magnolia 5CPM packages up to 5 cans per minute, or approximately 300 cans per hour, depending on product conditions, operator workflow, can format, and production setup.

Q3: What filling method does Magnolia use?

A: Magnolia uses counter-pressure filling, which helps control foaming, preserve carbonation, and reduce oxygen exposure when packaging carbonated beverages.

Q4: Is the Magnolia 5CPM suitable for craft beer?

A: Yes. Magnolia is designed for carbonated beverage packaging and is suitable for craft beer, cider, hard seltzer, sparkling RTDs, kombucha, soda, and similar products.

Q5: Can Magnolia help reduce dissolved oxygen during canning?

A: Yes. The counter-pressure filling process is designed to support lower dissolved oxygen pickup compared with uncontrolled open filling, helping improve package quality and product stability.

Q6: Can Magnolia switch between different can sizes?

A: Yes. Pneumatic can-height adjustment helps operators change between supported can formats more quickly, which is useful for small-batch production and mixed product runs.

Q7: How mobile is the Magnolia 5CPM canning line?

A: Magnolia is built on an enclosed mobile frame with locking casters, allowing the system to be moved, positioned for production, and stored more easily in compact production spaces.

Q8: What makes Magnolia different from simple entry-level canning equipment?

A: Magnolia combines counter-pressure filling, integrated filling and seaming, an enclosed mobile frame, PLC control, Manual Mode, and pneumatic can-height adjustment in a compact system for small beverage producers.

Q9: What utilities are typically required for Magnolia?

A: Typical utility requirements include electricity, compressed air, and CO₂. Exact requirements depend on the final configuration and facility setup.

Q10: When should a producer choose Magnolia instead of a higher-speed canning line?

A: Magnolia is a good choice when production volume is still small, space is limited, or the team needs flexible in-house packaging before investing in a larger 25CPM, 100CPM, or higher-speed canning system.
